Providers at Open Wellness will generally bill an office visit or an Evaluation and Management Code. This code will depend on if it is your initial or follow-up visit with the team. The codes that are used most often include:
Naturopathic medicine codes:
99205 or 99204 for an initial visit and 99215 or 99214 for follow up visit.
If a visit and documentation takes longer then the alloted time associated with these codes. The provider might also bill extended visit codes. Those codes are G2212 or 99417.
97810 and 97811 if she does not use electrical stimulation.
97813 and 97814 if she does use electrical stimulation.
If your provider does both a naturopathic consultation and acupuncture on the same visit you will most likely be responsible for 2 copay's which will be collected at the end of your treatment.
Physical medicine codes
If, during the visit, physical medicine is performed Open Wellness providers might bill the following codes.
97140 - is a physical therapy code for hands on manual work.
98925 - is an osteopathic manipulative code for treatment of 1-2 body regions
98926 - is an osteopathic manipulative code for treatment of 3-4 body regions
98927 - is an osteopathic manipulative code for treatment of 5-6 body regions
98928 - is an osteopathic manipulative code for treatment of 7-8 body regions
98929 - is an osteopathic manipulative code for treatment of 9-10 body regions
Trigger point injections
20552 - an injection of a single or multiple trigger points in 1 or 2 muscles
20553 - an injection of single or multiple trigger points in 3 or more muscles
